Fool me…

image

Again and again

I sin and I sin.

Living and loving,

and hardly recovering.

Again and again,

Betrayed by my skin.

I drown and I die,

My sinew screams a sharp sigh.

I fall and I fail,

And in failure I flail,

removing the top skin

weightless and thin.

This string pulls hard.

This tiny glass shard

it burns and it chokes,

I’m smothered in smoke.

I paint myself black,

I lie on my back,

repeating the verse

and reliving the curse.
